About the Internship

The BlackRock Summer Internship is a structured, 10-week program designed for students who are curious, driven, and excited about the future of finance and technology.

The internship provides hands-on experience and insight into our company, our culture, and the role we play in the global economy. Our interns are embedded directly into our teams and work on projects that matter — to the business, to our clients, and to your development.

Program Dates: June – August 2025
Program Length: 10 weeks
Location: Opportunities available across major BlackRock offices (Americas, EMEA, APAC)
Application Launch: Spring 2024
Eligibility: Students graduating between September 2025 – July 2026

What You’ll Experience

Business Areas

Interns are placed across diverse business functions based on interests, skills, and business needs. These areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Investments: Participate in research, analysis, and portfolio construction across asset classes including equities, fixed income, multi-asset, and alternatives.
  • Client Businesses: Support relationship management and business development efforts across institutional, intermediary, and retail channels.
  • Technology: Contribute to the development of innovative platforms like Aladdin®, which powers decision-making across the investment lifecycle.
  • Risk & Quantitative Analysis: Help monitor investment and operational risk, ensuring robust risk frameworks and processes are in place.
  • Corporate Functions: Gain experience in strategic roles across Finance, Legal & Compliance, Human Resources, and Operations.

Key Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program
  • Anticipated graduation between September 2025 and July 2026
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Analytical mindset and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving
  • Demonstrated interest in financial services, markets, or technology (prior experience is not required)
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages may be beneficial in certain regions
